Promises to be a great event, there will be bread baking demonstrations, all sorts of dancing displays, lots of the items the women have made in the past year are for sale. Some are traditional craft, others just fun gifts, like phone and kindle covers, glasses cases, etc. The most delicious börek, thin flat bread with a filling of your choice, Turkish mante-tiny ravioli with cheese or meat filling with a yoghurt dressing, hot and cold drinks and ice cream.

Once you have entered the village and reached the church and the mosque, follow the instructions on the map

I would so have loved to have gone but what short notice. I heard nothing about it before, and I might have hoped that CATOM would have got in touch direct. Such a shame. And unfortunately there is no way I can get there for 7p.m. as I will be at a wedding at that time.

I would so love to have photos et,c to do an article. I went to one of CATOM'S gatherings with my friend Ayten who was doing some craft teaching, and I have photos of them. Lovely ladies group, and I just just so sad I cannot be there.

Enjoy!

Marion, Ayten, who teaches the knitting machine and other craft things? I met her here at Çatom, very nice lady.

I'm sorry, but I only found out on Tuesday as I was in Çatalköy for a few days.
They gave me the poster to translate.

This will be a bigger event as it is the first, but they will hold more, will send you pictures etc, I promise.
