Kyrenia's municipality would like to know what bands the general public would like to experiance at the next festival.... We have had Aswad, UB40, The Animals, Mike Pender and the searchers and a few more.... Please be kind enough to reply with a few suggestions, and you never know it might come true....

Gypsy Kings please, I missed out when they came to Cratos, but those ticket prices were steep anyway. Would love to see them perform at the ampitheatre.

i know quite a few people have been talking about what they would like at the amphitheatre, and could I suiggest that those kibkomers who have friends who are not members of this board but who have strong opinions, collect their ideas and post them here for rollinbones.

sorry I cannot make any suggestions - i am too square, but I am sure there are many others who can.

Definately Aswad again, they were unlucky in that the night they played, england were playing and Tom Jones was here, I bet if they came again the amphitheatre would be packed. Enjoyed and known by both expats and Turkish Cypriots.

Although not my 'cup of tea' why not have the searchers, and the animals back?

If they are that popular, people will come and see them again.

Aswad is a good idea, esecially as they ha only a 24 hour trp to Cyprus. One the group saidhe would hve loved to have sstayed longer! And ass you say, there was an overload that night of their events. So, would endorse the thought of hav ing them back.

Not quite a band but would to see the dance show-Fire of Anatolia.I missed their performance last year in Salamis.

The original Queen members with Adam Lambert on vocals, I believe they are doing a concert in Russia sometime soon.

Tarkan at the amphitheatre Mel, nice thought but I think the ticket prices would have to be quite high to cover his alleged 150,000tl fee

Just a little off topic, and a subject I have mentioned before, could whoever does the organising think about opening the gates a little earlier than they did at the Aswad concert, I heard people remarking that they would never come again after the long wait that they had.

And the belideye missed out on quite a bit of profit at the bar as a lot of people would have liked to have sat and had a drink and/or food while they waited.

The Anatolia group definately, Turkish version of Riverdance if I,m not mistaken.

Agree with Gypsy Kings, but depends what the budget is ? Maybe we need some guidance on budget and maybe get together a list of who we can get for this price and then we all vote.

Byut meanwhile, it would be interesting to know what kind of budget the belediye has, or rather tell us what range of artistes could be afforded. One of the good things about the amphitheatre concerts is that they are affordable to all, and as it is there for the people, it would seem a shame of Jo Public could not afford to go.

There are some great cover bands too..... Tickets will be a cheap as we can make them.... All for your entertainment....

A few months ago it was advertised Slade were coming here, looks like this is not going to happen this year, but Noddy Holder and the band would be graet entertainment.

Michael Jackson impersonation artist Navi, is simply the best. We saw him in Maidstone Kent and he was fantastic.

Michael actually had him perform at HIS OWN birthday party.......................so you can`t get a better recommendation than that.................

Good cover bands will be in the mix....

Agree with Cold Play and 10cc, also Simply Red, David Essex, and what about Lady Gaga (now that would be some show!). Also James Blunt and Kaiser Chiefs. Loads of possibilities.

My choices would be Coldplay, Pink Floyd, Adele & Leona Lewis.

Good statium bands like Metallica, Dire Straits, Red Hot Chillis.

Would love to see an outdoor Opera like they put on in Italy.

The Who (well Daltry and Townsend at least) are still going pretty well..

And Lady Antebellum - not sure if I've spelt that right but great band!
