Kyrenia Animal Rescue are pleased to announce that a Concert in aid the Charity will take place at Bellapais Abbey on Tuesday May 26th.
The concert which will include music by Chopin, Brahms, Mozart, Ravel , Bizet and many others was proposed by the Performers Demet Alken (Piano), Ayse Guler Akin (Soprano) and Isil Akguc (Flute).

All 3 ladies are great animal lovers and wish to help raise money for KAR. This will be the fourth concert of its kind to take place at the Abbey. With Demet Alken having participated in all previous events, Ayse Guler Akin performing for the second time and Isil Akguc joining them for the first time this will be an evening to remember.

The concert will start at 20.30 with the doors opening at 19.30. Admission will be by an Invitation card which may be acquired for a 35TL donation to KAR. The invitations are available from KAR Office, Charity Shop, Lambousa Saturday Market stall and Best Sellers bookshops Karakum and Alsancak

Really enjoyed the concert - just a little puzzled as to what happened to the Brahms and the 'Kumru ' piece. No program change was announced so presumably a lot of the audience didn't realise what they were listening to.
The first piece was Chopin Prelude in E min. op 28, No.4
I really enjoyed the Flautist, particularly 'Pan and the Birds'. A pair of amorous pigeons seemed to like that, too! The other notable performance was from the pianist, the Toccata by Khachaturian
Well done KAR, a very enjoyable evening.
