Tulips' Day - Cafe George

George’s Cafe in Girne is hosting a Fun Day on Sunday, 27th March in aid of Help Those With Cancer Association (Tulips) in conjunction with E.F.R.A.R. 2016.
The day will start at approximately 11am and go on until around 4pm with events happening all day.
Along with Brian Hills who will compère and do a magic show, the Abnormals will attend to meet and greet people. There will be live music as well as an Easter Bonnet parade around 2.30pm.
Özlem Ferhatoglu, owner of the Cafe George commented: “Once again Café George is proud to be involved in supporting the Association (Tulips) which helps so many people, touching so many hearts and lives. As the Cafe George, we are very happy and honoured to be able host such a wonderful event as we firmly believe local businesses should work alongside the Association and we sincerely hope we are able to help raise a great amount on Sunday, 27th March”.
There will be a second-hand jewellery stall, a hat stall, book stall, a Tulips information stand and E.F.R.A.R t-shirts and headbands will be on sale. Food will be on sale from the Cafe as usual.
Art Watson, Chairman of E.F.R.A.R. 2016 said: “We hope, as it is Easter Sunday, many people will take a stroll around the town and stop to enjoy what is on offer at Cafe George, there is something for everyone and all proceeds will go to Tulips. It should be a fun-filled day and we are delighted that George’s Cafe has given over the Cafe to us for the day.”

Donations can be made instantly by sending a blank text to 4171 to donate TL5 (contract telephones only). This applies to both Telsim and Turkcell. Donations can also be made from anywhere in the world by using the donate button on the Help Those With Cancer Association Turkish website.
