Went to pay for my mot witch runs out 19th April only to be told i was being fined for late payment . When i pointed out it is still current she told me because of my No plate it should have been done in January . I said but its still current she said it dose not mater . I went back to the garage to ask about my van that was moted last January that plate was also up although the test ticket showed it was not due till the 9th month ||on 27 . Another fine . What a nightmare out here you go & pay for a years mot that in any other country in the world would last the full term of the ticket . Not here it could last a month
Just a warning to all check or this crap could happen to you . I think its a down right liberty but what can i do

There is a list available with dates for various registration plates. There is a post on here somewhere giving the correct dates.

They have chnaged the dates for commercial by several months - I agree with Gates - the MOT from last year SHOULD still be Valid! You paid for ayear and it late 9-10 months!

I assume while only the police can do MOT's it will keep getting shorter and shorter period
10 years ago EY was in February last year it was early December and we only had 7 days instead of the fortnight but I suppose there are not many 25 year old vehicles now
