We are pleased to announce that the Cowbridge Male Voice Choir will be performing at Bellapais Abbey on 4th April 2013 in aid of Help Those With Cancer Association/Tulips.

The Choir will be covering classical Welsh choral pieces plus medleys from popular musicals and hits.

Doors will open at 7.30pm with the concert starting at 8pm.

Tickets will cost 15TL each and included in the price is a free glass of wine or soft drink.

Tickets are available at the Tulips Stall at Chateau Lambousa every Saturday and both Best Seller Bookshops in Alsancak & Karakum (in Karakum branch from 2pm on the Monday 4th March).

We would like to thank the Ministry of Tourism Environment and Culture for the use of Bellapais Abbey enabling all proceeds from ticket sales to go to the HTWCA/Tulips.

How are the ticket sales going ?
Really looking forward to attending the concer evening hope all goes ok .

The Choir have not finalised their programme yet but hope to do so this next week however in the meantime they have indicated that the first and second half will both be approx 40 mins long plus there will be a short break for refreshments approx 20 mins.

As soon as we receive more details we will post on here.

Tickets sales are excellent especially as this event did not get in last weeks press (due to the printing of posters and tickets not being finalised until late friday afternoon).

Tickets are available at both the Best Seller Book Stores and the Tulips Stall @ Chat. Lambousa on a saturday morning.

Hope my bit in Cyprus Star this week helps to sell some tickets. And I will be involved with a wedding earlier in the day with a couple who came over with the Blackburn Choir. I wonder if anyone in the Cowbridge Choir will fall in love with Bellapais and want to get married here. Oh, and it is my wedding anniversary, so I have to be there, - but please to the organisers, a good front row (side will do) space so I can takepictures etc as well as helping me to remember my days in Wales where my daughter and granddaughters still are!

Should be a good night. I just LERV those Welsh choirs.

We are having a lot of interest in this event and I believe not only because of who and what it is but also because we are only asking for 15TL!

A bargain in anyone's book's and as it includes a free glass of wine or soft drink at a beautiful venue with a super choir - you can't ask for more for a night out.

We have 'almost' sold out for this concert.

So if you haven't got around to getting your ticket yet, the last few tickets are available at Chateau Lambousa on Saturday at our Tulips stall and both the Best Seller Book Shops (Alsancak & Karakum).

Does that mean no tickets at the door/ Or may people still turn up to hear a bit of Welsh song and voices. I think I will need to bring some tissues - I might get all overcome for my former life (or one of them), but thanks to Scoobydoo I have a ticket. What about the others ????

wow. Hope too many people are nOT disappointed. Cymry am b yth, cariad - cymry am byth. and tulips am byth (well until they find a cure. (by the way 'am byth' is 'for ever'.

For future reference- how do I find out 'what's on' @ Belapais Abbey-Is there a website?

Not aqs far as I know Phil. There are so many different organisaitons tha tbook bellapais, and one has to rely on the grapevine, forums such as this, newspapers, posters etc etc. I often miss a lot, and I am one of thepeople that should be informing others! But you will find tha tmost things do get a mention on her,e so watch the Kibkom space. some of the thing sput on are by various music organisaitons and they have their own web sites, but I am happy to stand ocrrected when I say I am pretty sure there is no Bellapais website as such.

Maybe one day someone will make one, but for now, I don't think one eixsts. so come on someone tell me I am wrong, ir give Phil further advice on how to know what he could be missing.
