Camelot beach

Camelot beach had their official summer opening yesterday evening.
What a lovely time we had, thanks to all the organisers. The men especially enjoyed the dancers,
my hubby's eyes are bloodshot this morning, hahahaha.
It's always been one of my favourite beaches, but they now have a lovely lounging area, with bean bag cushions,
also fabric covered areas, to sit in the shade. (I hope they withstand this wind today)
If you didn't attend, it's well worth a visit.

thanks for the info. As usual I had heardnothing, and I bet loads of other people did not either! Just one question , is there a charge for going on to the beach and using the facilities, or do they just hire out sun beds etc?

We did use Camelot beach a few years ago and although a great position we found it became dirty & run down, the toilets were at best not clean and the "music" was extremely loud and unless you were a teenager not really what you want for a family beach. Also at the time and this was about 5 or 6 years ago they charged 10 lira per person which at the time was 5 more expensive than anywhere else (Escape Beach exempt). I hope that if they have cleaned up their act that it remains a well looked after beach, as it is our local beach. On a positive note, the food in the restaurant at Camelot was always good and it is an idyllic position to eat and enjoy the sunset.

Maybe FF can tell us if it is under new management. the time of which you speak it was under GAU - hence the large number of students, and there was a reduction for students. I went there once as a member of staff on a freebie, but decided it was not my scene. But the Legend was a good restaurant. However, it sounds as if it is well worth another look, but again, it would be good to know the cost, if any.

I remember the restaurant there when it was run by the army-the meals there were really cheap. We once got chatting to a young guy who got nabbed at Ercan to do his national service even though he was normally resident in the UK, my husband used to take the rubbish from the fish & chip shop his family ran, hence his deployment to the restaurant. Good days!
