Have a mega plant at the house that needs severe tidy.
Suggestions on when and how please.

Whenever you like, as hard as you like - you can't kill it! My gardener hacks it back all year round, and it just seems to make it grow more.

Alsancak Belediyesi have just been round the Camelot / Haci Ali area, severely pruning any Bougainvillea etc. that was hanging to far (in their opinion!) over the pavement - to the ire of some of the residents.

So I would say that now is as good a time as any...

Whenever you decide to prune...do so carefully! From experience I never do this without getting some scratches from the thorns!
