I received an email from my bank, Near East today to say that the interest on Sterling Savings Bank Accounts was being reduced by .75%. I understand that rates will vary per bank and by the size of the deposit but is there a reduction in interest across all the banks? Which banks are the strongest within the Kyrenia area?

Capital Bank can pay as much as 5 per cent depending on amount and the length of time tied up

Universal offered us 4% didn’t specify an amount

Thanks, will check out in March. Thought banks were offering 3% plus on sterling savings accounts
