Passport renewal

When using the online system to renew a uk passport do you use the renewing outside uk option?

J have just done it and no I used the UK option and had it delivered there for someone tk bri g it back for me. Did it all on line and rhe passport was delivered 10 days later. The old one is also on its way separately. Quick and easy as long as you k ow someone to bri g it back for you.

Ah thanks, what about the passport photo its saying about getting one with a code. A friend can bring back so no problem there.

No need that one you can use your phone camera and follow the instructions on the site and although it may take a couple of goes its easy .

Can I just ask what did you put for phone number? Not sure about putting trnc number on uk application.

Hi there
I put this one (TRNC) number down and they sent me updates via Text. So don't worry about putting cyprus number down

Did they renew your passport before the old one was sent to them? Have just applied online, but need to get the old one back, hoping someone is flying home who can take it!!

My passport expires end of March next year. If I renew now what date will my new passport start?

Since Brexit, most countries only regard British passports as being valid for 10 years from date of issue. So if you had extra months added on when your last passport was issued, it could mean that your passport has already expired for travel to certain countries. This article explains it
