bbc i player problem
Anyone else unable to watch or download through the iplayer. The usual error message is coming up saying not able to view programmes outside the uk. Have switched on Multimax VPN but still getting the message.

Same problem since last night on SMART TV. Able to view today though through my PC connection. Any suggestions for recovery?

Re: bbc i player problem
Where BBC iPlayer content comes 'from' and 'how' it is delivered can and does vary depending on device used to access it, load on the BBC at any given time, specific program and other factors besides. Using the free MM manual VPN on a device should and as far as my tests here show does mean content works regardless of device used (provided that device can have the MM VPN configured on it and it is used) and any of the other many factors that determine exactly were from and how that content is delivered.judyvin wrote:Thanks for that Erol. Re: bbc i player problem
I do not have a MM vpn, but I do use Express vpn at home in the UK, the BBC has stopped access in the UK for vpn users, I was advised to change my location to the Isle of Man, and it now works ok. Don't know if you can do this with MM vpn.

Re: bbc i player problem
The 'auto VPN' may still be working for some iPlayer content when viewed on some devices as the situation remains fluid right now and the BBC has not implemented the same changes every where all at the same time. I suspect this is why it is working (without manual VPN) on one of your devices but not the other. It is likely that this situation will change in the coming days / weeks.judyvin wrote:To clarify why i said wierdly I don't have a VPN on my tablet!
