It would be good to know the answer to this. We have a holiday home in a complex which bans fixed satellite dishes, so this could be a good solution....IF it works.

There's nothing to stop you using a suitably sized dish on any sort of mount that you wish, but for repeatable satisfactory reception of Nilesat (the main satellite source of English language TV here), a 1 metre dish is recommended, much smaller than that, and your programmes will vanish at the first sign of severe weather. I think that the dish featured (54cm) is much too small, - you would get away with 90cm in good weather.
There are satellites that give a strong enough signal for a 54cm dish, but with Turkish, not English programme content.
Something to bear in mind is that, as all geostationary satellites are above the Equator, the dishes need to be able to point in the correct direction, and have an unimpeded line-of-sight to the satellite - see here
A quick 'Google' will soon identify websites that can enlighten you about the programmes which are available, (and in what language), what the transponder frequencies are, and what size dish is required.
