Multimax/NTV TV system help please
Multimax/NTV TV system help please… and yes I know I’m no technocrat!!!
My NTV system is showing as I write this that today is Saturday 1st January 2000 and the time is 0235.
Yes I have tried to reboot and yes have gone into setting to ensure that it is set for Turkey time zone… anyone got any knowledge of how to correct….
Also… suddenly it seems that the download mode is not working and cannot download and save show from the last few weeks….
Both the above have been going on for a week or more.
Help please?

Or ring them - they've got people sat there, with no other purpose in life, just waiting for the 'phone to ring so that they can help you...

Go to the settings menu on the NTV box (from the channel list press exit on the remote control - the left or right until you get to settings)minion wrote:Multimax/NTV TV system help please… and yes I know I’m no technocrat!!!

In the settings menu go to the section 'servers'
for the entry NTP server you need to enter '0.europe.pool.ntp.org' (the first character is a zero not the letter O) - to enter this / remove whatever is currently there you need to push the 'keyboard' button on the remote control - it has kb above the button.
Just to be clear this is not actually something that Multimax support is able to help with - you would need to try NTV support for this kind oif thin - either via live chat on their website or email, they do not have phone support.

Re: Multimax/NTV TV system help please
http://www.ntv.mx/?c=2&a=0&p=50# That is the normal URL for NTV and it was working fine till I logged off to do something else, when I attempted to log back on again I received this:
ERR_NAME_RESOLUTION_FAILED - The web page at http://www.ntv.mx/?c=2&a=0&p=50# might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
Looks like NTV have a fault here and now there is no way to contact them at all as without access to their web site and them having no telephone fault line we are all stuck. Will try to find another way around it but think this is not one that "we" the users have any control over.

No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

Followed instructions with regard to the server. Reboots to the portal screen saying page error. Both Internet and Ethernet shown as enabled.
Appreciate you don't want to get into this but thought you may find the info useful

Further to my post above - I do not use a MAG box or Android box, my NTV is via a PC. I think that if you already have NTV working then you should not log out of it. The fault appeared because I logged out and now the URL will not work - yet it was working fine and I was watch the rugby seconds before. At least I managed to get to watch the F1.
Moral - if it works DON'T LOG OUT!!!

Re: Multimax/NTV TV system help please
OK Firstly I had made an error in my instructions above with the NTP server name. I have edited the above post to correct it. It should read 0.europe.pool.ntp.org (first character is a zero) - before I had it as pool.europe and not europe.pool.cambridge wrote:Followed instructions with regard to the server. However as long as you put the entry in settings - Servers - NTP server , then this should not cause the portal to fail to load (I just double checked this here). All this setting controls is if you get the right time or not and nothing else. So even with my original incorrect details for the NTP server the worst that should happen is you still have the wrong date and time. The portal failing to load is either co incidence and something going wrong with the internet causing the portal not to load, or you changed some other setting than the NTP server setting. Like I say I just went and put the incorrect settings on my mag250 bos for NTP server and it strill loads the portal fine - just time is not correct. If you still having trouble cambridge then please do pm me directly.
Please note the thing you are trying top change is the NTP (not NTV but NTP) server. NTP = Network Time Protocol.
