Digiturk?

Hello,
I'm not very technical so please excuse my lack of knowledge.
We won't be living in the TRNC but we will hopefully be having six weeks holiday twice a year.
We don't want internet (I keep up with stuff through wi-fi on my smart phone).
We stayed at a friends house in Turkey who had Nilesat-there seemed to be a few channels with sometimes 'oldish' English films but they were plastered with Arabic subtitles-which was at times a bit distracting.
When we were in Turkey we had Digiturk-but to be honest we have to pay for an entire year for three months use-and it's getting a bit pricey.
Any ideas suggestions other than the above (without internet)?
If we do go for Digiturk how much is the basic package in the TRNC-and installation costs if anyone knows?
Thanks so much.
Rosie
