Please help me to save my sanity!

I am trying to call HSBC telephone banking from my KKTC mobile phone. I am dialling 0090 444 0111 but I keep getting a message saying that I have dialled the wrong number. This is the number stated on all the paperwork and on internet banking. I have also tried it without the 0090 to no avail. Please can someone tell me what I am doing wrong before I go completely bonkers.

I think it is because the code for the UK is 0044 - not the code you are dialling 0090 - that is to call here from UK. Try 0044 then your HSBC number. Good luck.

If it UK HSBC Banking. the number you want is=0044-8457-404-404.

Thanks for your replies but it's HSBC Turkey internet banking that I am trying to call and I am in the TRNC so cannot understand why it does not work.

You need to add the code 0212 then 444 0111

For future reference to anybody else tearing their hair out, to call HSBC telephone banking from TRNC dial 009 0212 444 0111.
