If we bring a Apple I 6 plus mobile phone to Northern Cyprus, I have checked with Apple store that the phones are unlocked, will we be able to use Turkcell sim card "pay as you go" ?
We are not techno minded, have no idea, in fact I don't even use a mobile here in the UK, but have basic mobile there......It is our Son who has suggested we get this, as we are moving over shortly.
Thanks in advance of helpful replies.

If the phone is unlocked, you can use either a Turkcell or a Telsim card.

If you are on pay as you go be sure to turn the data off as it is very expensive to use mobile phone internet.

The sim cards for Apple are different from normal phones, if you go for Telsim, go into the shop in the High Street just down from Cafe George and they will cut it to size for you.

Thank you for all your help.
Yes, DieHard, when shown where and seeing the sim card IT was very small and the area.
Do you know if Turkcell do this somewhere or only Telsim, will have to change our mobile number we already have.?

Yes Turkcell have the nano cards for the iPhone 6 and will transfer all your numbers over for you. There is a small charge cannot remember the exact amount but I am sure it was under 20 lira
