Have done a search on this topic but nothing seems to clarify things. So, looking for help please.
What percentage of the new phones value is paid in tax?
Is it true that the tax has to be paid in Lefkosha?
Where in Lefkosha do I pay it?
How long after using the phone for the first time do I have?

thornaby, there is loads of information on this subject in the 'mobile phones' section at the head of the forum. Tax value depends on make/model and there are directions where to go in Lefkoşa to both register it and pay the tax demanded. You then have to return to your provider (?Turkcell or Turksim) with the receipt for connection action. I would suggest you research the later posts first.
