iPhone 3 problem

Hi does anybody have any mobile phone experience in fixing a problem?
My husbands phone was working perfectly until 4 days ago it all of a sudden freezes
And I couldn't even turn off the phone or nothing!
The battery was 80% full before this happened.
The phone managed to unfreeze and close, but now every time we try to switch on the
Phone the apple logo comes then the screen goes black and logo again then off repeatedly.
We tried to charge it up incase the battery drained dead for some reason, but nothing for like 3
Hours and still does the same logo thing,.
It's strange
Our phone is in kyrenia telephone shop yildez at the moment but so far no luck as been there 3 days.
