The old Codbaba
Tried the new kebab place,Rodoplu, today in Codbabas' old place. The food was very good(I know,we really need another kebab house)as one would expect all freshly cooked. While we waited for our meals they brought us a big bowl of salad, bread and bowls of yoghurt, olves, humus, esme and pickled vegetables. The wife had liver shish and I had mixed kebab consisting of a huge chicken shish, lamb shish, liver shish, adana kebab and a seftalia, both meals came with chips, rice, toasted pitta and a big pile of onion with sumac. With three cans of soft drinks the bill came to 52Tl which I thought was very reasonable, will be going back.

Thanks for that. I am sure 'him downstairs' would love what is on offer. And I would eat more frugally! Definitley will give it a try. So thanks again.
Also the old Lacem on the way to Black Olive Café at Alsancak is opening tomorrow or Sunday - now a chinest restaurant. Hope someone gives the lowdown on that one too.
