Hi
İt was formerly Clug İlgaz and now called Lintons
Head towards Alsancak and take the turning on your left for Yesiltepe (Ilgaz Yolu) opposite what used to be Bar Mambo and Nature Garden. Continue up the winding and twisting road for approx 3km and there is a sharp turning on the right. You may see the dome shaped green roof top of the roof terrace before you approach but if dark you may miss it. Hopefully they will put a sign.
Let us know how it is as we are going next week for a meal and will be interesting to see if the food is as good as it was.The setting is lovely and they have rooms that you can book to stay. Small boutıque type place.
Enjoy your meal
Sandra

Take the turn off to Ilgaz on the Girne/Lapta coast road. Keep driving up the mountain for ever and almost before you get in Ilgaz the restaurant is off to your right. You think you must have missed it or are never going to get there.

It's the first turning on the left after Ileli and Starling supermarkets, and opposite the Bamboo Bar, as you are travelling from Girne to Alsancak/Lapta. As previous post says, you need to travel quite a distance up the hill and through Yesiltepe towards Ilgaz.

Lovely restaurant, lovely food and lovely staff. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised, being here for nearly 9 years have tried many of the eateries but this one is in my top 3. Will be going back for Mother's Day .

So glad to hear someone has taken over this restaurant as it is a lovely location. We look forward to going back there this summer - what type of food are they serving at what sort of prices?

We went last week. Before I write most of us know eating out and reporting same is so subjective.
We went on recommendation, we had visited club Ilgaz that was, and wanted to see if it compared, the restaurant was very quiet.
The setting cannot be faulted just stunning. The new owner welcomed us and had a drink with us, very nice guy indeed. The menu appeared (ala-carte) we were hoping it was a traditional Sunday Lunch as it used to be. We could order from the menu which I thought was pricey however, we were told there was a roast beef alternative which we ordered.
Unfortunately the meal came plated up, not our choice, and was lukewarm at best. The beef was OK but just OK, some portions had gristle too much in fact. We did mention to the staff the food was luke warm, they apologised and in fairness offered a drink at the end of the meal. We got the bill which we thought was expensive for what we had. Overall we came away thinking we won't be going back soon. This is only our experience, may have been a one off, you must try it yourself and see.

Have been to Lyntons twice in the last three weeks. Enjoyed so much the first time - took visiting family last week. Both times excellent food and service.
