I know this is an old favourite topic but it worth getting members views.

The Bella Moon in Bellapais is one of the best.

Family run with excellent food.

Fantastic people

Please try it you won't be disappointed.

Would not recommend Kamares at lunchtime. Last time we went then, only half the menu was available. Unfortunately the half we wanted !!

Efendis is our favourite and then St Tropez. Tried Park Marina the other evening and the food was very good, only a fish restaurant but beautiful setting the service however, could do with some improvement.

Sunday roast at the punjab is not good at all, washed up mash, tinned carrot and meat fit for a dog., yorkshire pud dry or over cooked, it was once good but not now. curries are the best from Indian restaurant.

Went last night to the new one opened up by the roundabout on the Lefkosa/Girne road and by pass. Efl i kefi or something like that. The food is fabulous. They are Turkish from Adana, don't speak much English but we got by just fine. They bring a HUGE kebab, between however many people, 3 min, on a trestle in the middle of the table. Some very nice background music too, from a duo. All in all a fabulous experience, and not expensive.

Apart from that, recent favourites are, Ibelli in the old quarter, proper Italian food. Lintons up past Green Heights, and Erols is always an old favourite for really good lamb chops and steaks.

East of town and roundabout town our choices would be;
Dragon, Efendi,The House and Bellapais Gardens for special meals
Rafters, Al Shaheen and Shayna for reliable weekday food and service.
Al Shaheen for winter Sunday lunch.
I Belli for Italian.
Eminem, Arch House and Patina for meze and shish.
Lots of little local lamucin and kebab houses round and about that we all know.
Happy Valley for chicken Bhoona and steak pie.
Shooters and Artisan for coffee and cake.
Manipenni and Spaghetti Junction for quick pasta and pizza.
Hemmingways for continental ambience and lunch on the Karpaz route.
My kitchen for fusion cuisine, ie: my Northern and hubby's southern tastes!!!

Bound to have missed some but hey, we are spoilt for choice

Found another little gem yesterday. The Tower Restaurant and Bar on the harbour front right by the castle walls. Fabulous seafood pasta, and mussels in wine excellent, and home made from looking at the ingredients in the sauce. Will definitely go again. We don't usually do the harbour as it is over priced and the food not that good, but this was something else.

Our two favourite places to eat are Ikimiz and Tree of Idleness. Ikimiz is in a lovely secluded courtyard and the food is amazing.. Tree of Idleness is in the most tranquil setting overlooking Bellapais Abbey.. Looking forward to visiting both several times when we arrive in sunny Kyrenia soon.

Old Silver has now closed!!!The chef who used to be there a while back, Sahin, is now down at the harbour, round past the harbour master's office up the hill to town. Newly opened and called Glory Days. Not been yet, but friends have and enjoyed it.

There is an excellent Sunday Lunch on offer at The Fez in Catalkoy. Slightly more expensive than others, but well worth the extra. Quality is absolutely 'first Class'.

We like The Capitano restaurant with the new owners. I should say that there is one of the best food in Cyprus now. A very professional chef, high quality kitchen and unusual meals. Everything is hand made, great steaks, real sauces, fantastic deserts. The prices may be a bit higher than average but this food cost every cent! We advise everybody to give a try. Sure that you like it. They also have snack menu for very reasonable prices. The staff speak good English and Turkish. You can see some pictures here: http://kibris.nethouse.ru/posts/1554218
