Where can I find a restaurant that does a good steak?

Anywhere from east to west Girne will do.

Erols in Ozankoy have always had nice steaks. The Corner restaurant on the harbour also do very very nice steaks.

Erols definitely our favourite but Rafters in Ozonkoy also do pretty good steaks. The Kibet steak house in Karakum always seems pretty busy when we drive past too.

Boutique steak house in Girne near TEB bank - excellent.
The restaurant in The Rocks Hotel - fabulous food, fabulous service

Carpenters - best around for me - Alsancak - turn down the mountain vie road

Erols, we have been going there for Kleftiko Lamb and steaks for 10 years now and have NEVER been disappointed.

Lovely friendly Place and Caroline and Erol make you feel truly welcome.

Warning, do not have a starter, you will struggle with your mains, a salad, little Pitta with Helim and tomato and bread come before the meal so you can nibble whilst you wait for your mains to come.

Coffee and brandy are also complementary.

Try it and be converted!

Never had a bad steak at Happy Valley Catalkoy on the left hand side on main drag from Girne heading east...fillet, pepper, steak diane...all were very good.

Got to agree with Erols ..
Also had a good fillets at Herma (just past Acapulco on the left) & Bella Moon (Bellapais village)

Kibet Steakhouse (opposite Lemar Karakum) do excellent aged steaks. tbone,ribeye,fillet.sirloin etc. Also 'proper' burgers etc.
Really worth trying, but note they are not licensed.

Had really rubbish steaks in lots of places including Hurma yesterday (past Acapulco) best to stick to local dishes. Also a couple of memorable dissapointment steaks at Kibele by Bellapais Abbey, shame really as the setting is wonderful, but some of their 'international' dishes verge on the comical/unedible.;-(

St Tropez just past Escape beach heading west , he Hangs his own Steaks for 20/25 days , I have the Chateaubriand 300 gram , its the thick end of the fillet , its WOW every time .

Efendi in the old quarter I've had great Fillet Rib Eye.

Tesco's finest Ribeye!!!!! mmm!

Kibet for me also. No Alcohol though.

Also you can choose meat that has been hanging in the cooler for some time !

It's the same as the kibtek opposite the mercedes garage they are hung in cabinets for 3 or 4 weeks and you can choose your steak the advantage here is they serve alcohol.unlike the one opposite lemar.

If I want a steak to be delighted with, it's got to be Erols or Efendi, excellent grub.

Had a beautiful Ribeye at Efendi,great chef there.

Never been to Efendi's where about is it please.

It's in the Turkish Quarter of Kyrenia.

Happy valley was one of the worst steaks I've ever had. Complaint was met by a shrug. The best, and there are many, Bella Moon in Bellapaiss, The old silver Resteraunt in Kyrenia..

This is great, I now have a different restaurant to go to for a month or so!!

Can only comment as we found it.......visited 3 times in a 2 week period early Sept. Each time we went one of us ordered a steak....they were all very good. On our last visit we were joined by friends who asked what they should order. We suggested they try a steak......they did and they also said how good it was.

Happy Valley is pretty basic, but all meals we have had have been good value. Have also found the service at Happy Valley to be very good as well. One of the closest places to us so we like to pop in fairly regularly.
