The Punjab is brilliant. Great food and divine Yorkshire puddings. Have been going there for years and have never been disappointed. Give it a go. Riaz is a great man and always delivers.

Oh well, here goes. Went to the Punjab last week for the first time in 18 months. Yorkshire puds were horrible soggy lumps of flower and water, hadn't risen more than eight of an inch. Meat so thinly cut, you could have read the newspaper through the slices, absolutely awash in Bisto type gravy, all in all not very good. However, two of the party ordered from the Indian/Pakistani selection and it looked and tasted very good indeed. If we go again, I'll stick to that.

Went to punjab it was very bad, burnt yorkshire puds, wishy washy gravey, packet mashed potato, beef just no flavour...
To cheap, wont go again. Sooner pay a bit more for proper food.

Geroff, I'd forgotten about the packet potatoes. Why the hell use the stuff - potatoes here are so good. Having said that, Acmenya serve it as well and I suspect a number of the 3 course for 25tl do the same. I suppose it's less labour intensive or something?

Acmenya is awful, you get what you pay for unfortunately. I hardly ever go for sunday lunch but my recommendation would be Levant in Karmi. Much better quality.

Not tried many, because I know first hand that meat pre-cooked then sliced , then frozen and bought back to life in microwave,"roast potatoes" boiled then in the deep fat fryer noooo thank you.

Well someone must like the Punjab. Came back from lunch at Silver Rocks and there were a lot of cars outside the place.
