We've just been for a meal at The Lodge in Lapta and waited an hour and a half for our main course which never arrived. In the end we gave up and went home. The singer appeared to be blind and clueless ( nearly as bad as Johnny Lee). No wonder they advertise in the local paper "if you're not happy with the meal, you don't have to pay for it". Has anyone else had a similar experience?

lately the TRNC is experiencing the "Sleeping Turtle Symptoms". "STS" is spreading rapidly among the restaurants including top class 5 star ones such as The Colony "based on personal experience".
Diners wait for ages for their ordered meals to arrive, and in some cases never arrive.

How to recognise the STS?
1. you enter the restaurant and immediately you become invisible. the waiter becomes blind and fails to see you, hence you wait and wait to be served.
2. Even when you get seen and your order is taken, you wait for ever for your drink to arrive.
3. you finally get taken to your table.
4. you wait for someone to pass you the menu
5. you drank your wine and still waiting for someone to take your order.
6. you finally order your meal and waited for the meal to arrive. you'll be lucky if you get the bread & butter
7. an hour later you are still waiting for your second drink and the starter/ main meal to arrive.
8. finally no food and you go home hungry and angry.

Cure
sorry tintin so far No cure found for this plague. The virus already invading the island and spreading rapidly.
Should you experience one or two of the above symptoms, I would suggest you leave the infected restaurant immediately and go somewhere else. late dinner is bad for your health.
Remember to keep in mind names of few good restaurants "contingency plan".


Or just, Stay at home and be content with toasted cheese sandwich.
