Just got back from Tanners, lovely menu, lovely food and so reasonable. The fish pie was delicious the owner was very pleasant, what a nice change. 10/10 for service, would certainly go back, well done.

Agree...well worth the trip from Karsiyaka for the fish pie!

Is this the Terrace Restaurant/Bar at Karakum (Taner's)? I'm gradually compiling a TRNC 'Points of Interest' file for Garmin satnavs, so it's helpful if I can pinpoint places on Google maps and get the Lat/Lon coordinates...
So far I've got a few such things, such as some Lemar and Starling stores, a few restaurants, the Blue House (Mavi Kosk), Bellapais monastery, St Andreas Monastery, Ercan airport, to give an example...
Basically for myself as a holidaymaker/visitor, but if anyone else (with a Garmin) finds a use for such a list, they're welcome to what I have, and also to add to the list....
So far, it works OK with this map

- of course, to instal the map onto an SD/microSD card, you will need MapSource....

....then again, as someone said - "In Northern Cyprus, you've got the sea on one side, and mountains on the other - how can you get lost?"

Use Taners regularly and have done for years. The food is excellent, mixture of Cypriot (not the bog standard kebabs), and european, meals or snacks....something for everyone, and at a good price. The setting is lovely, we love to go and watch the swallows swooping around. Fikri is most welcoming. Love it for just a drink, or for a meal.

By simply using the built-in search facility and entering < tanners > (just on its own, without the '<' + the '>' ), you will be able to find directions to Tanners.

Taners Terrace is in Karakum, as you head out of town towards Catalkoy, you will see an electrical repair place on the left hand side, Taners is signposted, go down the road by the repairman, keep heading toward the sea and it is on your left. Carparking at the front.

One of our favourite places. Good food, wonderful host and lovely view. Just downloaded some pictures taken when we were there 2 weeks ago. Wish we were still there

We are located in karakum village which is a mile towards the east of the town. If you come from town our turning is 1km after the manipeni ( or piabella) roundabout and 500m towards the sea.
