Looking to have a meal at either of these restaurants, its been a long time since we visited either, so which one is the best all rounder now, we are looking for a place to dine by the sea, with good food, etc.

Haven't eaten at Ambiance 2 years,but was at Veranda last week.
I just love the proximity to the sea,food plentiful and good.Can I say Veranda still has same 'Ambiance' as ever?

Yes the Veranda for me too. Years since we ate at the Ambiance because back then we felt it has lost it's personal charm having become so big. Only way to find out Puds 166 is to go and try the Ambiance!

Last time we ate at Ambiance the service was not very good and waited an age for the main course. The owner gave us free desserts which was a nice gesture but when you sit down at 8pm and are still waiting at gone 10pm it rather takes the shine off the evening. This was last summer so it may have improved.

Last time we went, we got our main course at midnight, we haven't been back since!!

Really dont want to tellyou this as i want to keep restaurant to myself. But veranda is our favourite. Good food good service. Now forget I said that as it is our romantic great night out. Booking recommended to be able to have table by sea. So please go to ambience and dont pinch our table. Enjoy

İ should have mentioned,booking advisable esp weekend..We managed to get last table calling at 6.30 pm on a Saturday....and,I agree with Heaven,let's keep ıt OUR secret !!

Could you please post the telephone number of Veranda restaurant and also is it open at lunchtimes on a Saturday

Veranda every time Ambiance too big now and impersonal, but yes book.

Eat at Veranda Monday night , the food we had wS good but I think the menu could have a bitter choise , fish was just Bass & Bream & that was it . It jet used to do a fantastic Swird fish in a lovely sauce , I ask but it wasn't on but after the meal I had a chat with the owner as ive been going off & on for 12 years now & he said he will get the Sword fish back on the menu all be it frozen .
I think Ambiance 500 g T Bone is hard to beat anywhere & there is a better selection of food , for me just Ambiance for better setting & choise if menu .

Thanks we have actually been to Girne and in the end ate at Altinkaya as we had been there maybe 20 years before and loved the view ? Meal was ok .Enjoyed the mezze but the lamb chops 2 of them I thought they may have been cooked previously .

4 of us went to the ambiance last night . Food good , service appalling! . We gave up in the end and left . Relayed our complaint to the relevant personnel who agreed .! And that was it . Never go again ,

Like most restaurants on our wonderful Island, what suits one, may not suit another.
The Veranda, it's cosy with a warm welcome, good food, limited seating and pleasant view
Ambience, lots of seating, good food, helpful service, great sunsets,
But they both come at a price, depending on your pocket

Had a lovely lunch at the Veranda a few days ago - so, yes they are open at lunchtime. We did phone first to check and evenings as with many popular places, it is always good to book a table, rather than turn up in hope.
