Just had a very nice meal this evening at the above. This is Greg and Xi from the take away next to O'live Bar who have opened a restaurant nearer to Lapta on the right hand side of the road coming from Girne. Still doing take away at the new place.

Did they used to run Chop Sticks in Girne years ago?

Yes, they did used to have Chopsticks years ago but, more recently, they have been running the Green Lotus as a takeaway a bit further along the road.

Been in tonight for a meal, good to see it was full and people coming in for takeaways too. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Looks like we must have gotten a short straw looking at these comments, I'm sad to say.

Having saw the new place we got a takeaway to contribute to local businesses as we always try to - the containers were unusually small, if you too get a takeaway you will notice this immediately unless it changes.

The egg fried rice had no egg in it, the beef in black bean sauce had zero sauce in it and the meat was certainly not freshly cooked and the prawn dish that cost 27tl was only half full (bearing in mind the containers were already very small).

At the end of the meal we were still hungry and this hasn't ever happened before, we usually leave a lot of food on the plate when we go out and we were not impressed by the standard of the food. I've never had a beef in black bean sauce that has no sauce and likewise never bought egg fried rice to find it has no egg.

I had no intentions to write anything about this because we met and liked the owner but having read these positive reviews it is worse because it seems as though we somehow didn't get the quality everyone else did - not only that but it was a special anniversary for us that we decided to have in.
