Lovely meal at Sirinyali - but beware price

Just back from a lovely evening with friends at Sirinyali restaurant in Karsiyaka. The new owners have done a wonderful job of refurbishing the outside eating area and there are great views out over the sea. It is spotlessly clean and we were given a warm welcome - it was our first visit for dinner. There is an extensive menu to suit all tastes, food was beautifully cooked and presented.
A word of caution though. If asked if you would like fresh fish, ascertain the price before ordering. I didn't, but if I had been told how much it would cost I would have ordered something else. Satisfactory negotiations did take place before paying the bill!

Do they have meat as well as fish on the menu as it has always been a predominately fish restaurant.

Yes, meat and chicken as well. Did not notice if there was a vegetarian option though.

Our family twice recently ate at this restaurant. Two vegetarians were happily catered for on each occasion. I had fish first time, meat the second, the bill for four persons, including starters did not exceed 130TL on either occasion. We didn't have wine or spirits, just a couple of Efes, some soft drinks and water. I hope the restaurant does well. If I recall the menu correctly it does mention ask about fish of the day price, whilst Lagos, for example, was priced up.

Four of us went there the other day. Terrible. Uneatable lamb chops. Rushed service. Didn't have the sea bass that two of us wanted so the waiter suggested we had a larger fish to share, course he did, 110tl for one fish slightly bigger than the sea bass. Called the owner, after much "discussion" deleted the lamb chops bill, halved the fish bill, not one word of apology, just walked away, which is exactly what we will do.
