rental apartment hunting online?

The flat we are living in has been sold, so the search begins for finding a new apartment.
Other than this site, and lever101... are there other TRNC sites that have listings of current rentals?

All of the TRNC Estate agents list rental properties on their websites, and there's
http://www.lettingscyprus.com/properties-for-rent/ or a search for
TRNC Property Rental will throw up many possibilities...
How long does your current rental contract have to run?

My current flat has a year lease, initiated in January. However, the owner decided to move back to the UK, and put it up for sale.. it sold, and he needed to break the lease to accommodate the buyer. We have less than 30 days to find another apartment.

What? - there looks to be tons of stuff!
If your landlord wants to 'break your lease' then tell him to find you somewhere else, or sit tight!
I think that you have a right to stay there until the expiry of your lease (unless it specifies otherwise in writing in the actual lease / contract).

My lease states I must give my landlord a 2 month notice in writing if I break the lease, and of course forfeit my security deposit. It states the same conditions for the landlord, so yes... this situation is not ideal, having less than a month to relocate. But it is what it is.... and I don't want to cause him legal problems... I have a feeling he's got enough other problems already.
It's hard finding another place that doesn't require an entire year of rent up front... I see many like that. I always understood a lease was a legal agreement/contract that promises payments monthly when due, being a responsible tenant that takes care of the property as if it were his own. I realize that due to the many students here, the reason for so much up front (and the agents that add on a commission that has be be paid by the renter no less) - makes it difficult IMO... for people like myself that have a monthly secure income... but not a year in advance to pay... plus a deposit or two, and a commission! IT's all different here, I know it's not America. There a lease is a legal binding contract that guarantees the landlord timely monthly payments, and a security deposit... but the "commission" is the fee paid by the landlord to assist in advertising and finding an occupant for his property. I think it is unfair to put that fee upon the tenants. JMO.
I have pets too - and I am a responsible pet owner. I don't let them roam, they are on leash when we go out for a walk, and they are completely reliable for being housebroken, and rarely bark - unless of course the hoards of strays outside on the street start fighting and barking which of course alerts my 2 small dogs that something is wrong. Finding a pet friendly apartment isn't easy either!
I'm looking for a 2+1, in or near Lefcosia, near a busline (I do not have a car yet), that is pet friendly, doesn't need to be furnished, as I have bought some furniture and appliances for the current flat. My budget is about 1300 TL per month.
If you know of anything, please reply. I check this daily.
I thank everyone for responding.

I believe that your contract IS a legal document, and that the onus is on the landlord to find you an acceptable replacement if he wants you to move.
Properties are often sold with 'sitting tenants ' and all that happens, as far as the tenant is concerned, is that they have a new landlord.

I believe you are right. The buyer wants possession immediately for their own living quarters, and the landlord sees breaking the lease as the only option to saving his sale. We're expendable it seems.

Go to see an Avukat and ask them to tell the landlord that it's their responsibility to re-home you - that should concentrate his mind - there's nothing to stop you looking as well, of course, and it does 'show willing', and that you're not being deliberately obstructive.
Tenancy laws here are very strict, I think that the intention is to protect the poorer population from exploitation, but it does cover foreigners
