I'm considering purchasing a plot of land that is land locked - no border with a road. Has anyone got any experience of gaining a right of way / easement from the land registry/council? - or know of someone who can advise if this is worth pursuing or not.
Thanks.

I would never buy land locked as one day given permission then next day not. You can’t trust a gentleman agreement out here. So I would stay well away

Dealing with landlocked plots can be a real headache. You’d likely need to negotiate a formal easement with the neighbors first, which usually involves a payment. Definitely talk to a lawyer before buying, as "implied access" isn't always as simple as it sounds.
