For renting in North Cyprus, you generally need to prove that you can financially support yourself during your stay. This usually means showing either a monthly income of around 1,000 to 1,500 GBP (depending on the area) or savings of at least 12,000 to 15,000 GBP. It’s a good idea to have official proof like bank statements or a letter from your employer. Check with local authorities or your landlord for specifics since requirements can vary.

It usually depends on whether you're showing a high enough monthly pension/salary or a lump sum in a local bank. The exact figures seem to change every year lately, so it’s worth double-checking the latest government portal or asking a local agent to be sure.

The current (Apr 2026) minimum wage you are expected to meet monthly (Gross) is 60,618TL or £1002 (rounded up). Never forget that for residency purposes the minimum wage figure you are looking for is always the "GROSS" and not the NET. NET being what the people actually get paid!
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.
