Just for info to help anyone that might want to take a dog back to UK or know people with dogs in UK. The UK Government decided not to test dogs going into UK from abroad but they might have to change their mind now this disease has been found in Harlow Essex.

From Wikipedia: -
Human babesiosis is an uncommon but emerging disease in the Northeastern and Midwestern United States and parts of Europe, and sporadic throughout the rest of the world. It occurs in warm months. Ticks transmit the human strain of babesiosis, so it often presents with other tick-borne illnesses such as Lyme disease.
