So pleased to tell you that Dolly is back to her happy, little self. She had a bath yesterday, so is now presentable again and the wounds are healing well. She is eating, and walking each day,but very wary of dogs, even her friends, but hopefully, that will pass as she regains her confidence.
Thank you all so much for your advice and your caring support --over 800 postings for one dear little dog says it all, and is so much appreciated by us both.

I am so pleased Dolly is now recovered, and yes it is scary walking your dog. I have only just started walking a dog, and I do get very worried about other dogs attacking us. It is not such a pleasure as it was in England.

Most of the dogs around here, who regularly roam the streets are very friendly, just a couple who get snappy when with their owners. However, I would suggest you always carry a stick, preferably with a heavy handle, since that's the end I used on the Rottweiler. I can't bear to think of the outcome had I not had the stick.
It's heart-warming and very re-assuring to know that so many people have read my postings --many thanks to you all for caring about our dear little Dolly. I've always liked, and frequently had dogs, but they were usually working animals, so when this sweet-natured little Cyprus poodle came into our lives she just stole our hearts.

Omg, all that was being told to me about fierceness of Rottweilers were true!!!, I saw it in my Maximilian's eye for the first time today.
We have a Pointer puppy as a guest for a few days and today something happened that I would never expect from Max.
I caught all of it on the camera. Please do not watch if you cannot tolerate animal violence...

Luckily, Korsan(the pointer) has managed to recover quickly when he was offered another toy. As for Max, he had to endure a long talk about the concept of sharing his toys...

Here is some more action by the fearsome duo and the poor bear. I would say they are at least a bit more sharing now, well sort of
Caution: Dont watch if you cannot tolerate violent animal vidoes or torturing of teddy bears, this video contains 1 count of barking, a few growls, 1 grumpy grandfather complaining in the background and one really, really poor teddy bear.

Many thanks for posting those lovely pics of the two dogs, I play very similar games with Dolly, but think she feels she's the Rottie! However, should anyone find an earless Teddy, light brown in colour, probably around Silver Rocks, could they please give it to a member of staff, for return to Dolly. It was her first ever toy when she joined us 5 years ago, and is sadly missed.
No change next door unfortunately, and I fear that with the darker evenings coming, their poor young Rottie won't be let out at all to run and jump and play. We'll wait and see!
