Requirement to have dogs chipped?

Well, I knew you would not read it if it was about dogs!!! Anyone heard of a requirement to have dogs chipped and if so do you have any information please.

By the way, the title was about Denmark but I lost interest in it - lol.

Its a great idea for all who love their dogs but it will not help the ones that get dumped chipped or not, what will happen will they change all chipped details to the new owners ? yep at the new owners expense ! more money form us dog lovers. because they wont find any owners if they have left for the UK.
