I know there are so many strays that need a home, but this beautiful young dog was dumped at Chateau Lambousa Market 3 weeks ago. He looks like a boxer cross, and is probably about 7 or 8 months old. He did have a collar on which was too small for him (which I took off), but he must have had a home at one time. Very friendly, loves people, other dogs and just wants to be loved. Ian has named him Henry, as he likes to stand up against you and paw you with his paws( Henry Cooper the boxer!) Lambousa now has 5 dogs and it's getting a bit expensive feeding them all - I think it's becoming a dumping ground for unwanted dogs. While the others are older and have been their a long time, Henry is still young and would be great to find him a new home. If anyone is interested in him they can call me on 0533 842 7204, or go along to the market part of Chateau Lambousa and you will see him somewhere in the grounds. Ian is there most days, so he will know where he is.

I'll just move this back up the page as it's getting very near the bottom. He really is a very handsome dog with a lovely temperament.

Well Daisy has found a home which is great, now I've just got to keep trying for Henry.You can call either me on 0533 842 7204 or Ian on 05338730301. Ian is at Lamboussa most days, and I can always come down and meet anyone their.

No luck yet, but I keep hoping someone will come along and love him. Please remember if you are going to Lamboussa market tomorrow, to look out for him, and see what a lovely dog he is.

Unfortunately Lamboussa Market got more or less rained off this morning, but Henry was still their, his normal happy self. He still hasn't found his place in the "pack" at Lamboussa, they are all older dogs, and a couple of them, really don't want him their, so please if anyone is thinking about getting a dog (or another one) why not go and check him out.

Thank you Owl Lady for keep bringing this back to the top. I'm not giving up with Henry. Hopefully one day someone will look at his photo and think, - yes, that is just the dog I want.

I do so wish I could take him, but hopefully someone will take pity on him. Is Ian feeding him at Lamboussa?

Owl Lady, yes Ian feeds 3 of them and I feed the other 2, but Saturday mornings when I am their, I feed all of them. Although I don't go down every day, I leave the food with Mehmet (who now works for GAU, previously worked for Chateau Lambousa ) and he feeds Ozzie and Gulu who have been their for years. Mehmet goes every day as he also has a cat their he feeds. Patch and Jackie arrived just over a year ago, and Ian took on them, and now Henry. Henry is the youngest and it would be so good to find him a home while he is still young.

I have heard about a group called Hope 4 Pets, but don't know ow to contact them. Has anyone heard of them, as maybe they can help Henry as not having much luck on her e.

Stellsstar1 don't give up, it is only 10 days since you posted. Some times it has taken people several weeks to find a home. Bye the way have you still got the Akita pup?

It turned out he was a Samoyed not Akita as the vet told me. Kemal from Multimax has him now and he has a great home with Kemal and his dog Max. I've been up to see him twice and it is so good to see him so happy. If you go into PETS and look for Young Akita Dog needs new home - thank you Kemal, your'll see lots of pictures.

I clean forgot that the" Akita pup" turned out to be "Ice" which Kemal adopted for Max!
See it is still possible to get a home for Henry.

Henry seems to be going off the radar.

Its apparently more common if the dog is size of a small horse and has a habit of throwing himself on hard floors instead of lying down gently...

It goes away on its own if untreated, but may take a year in some cases to fully disappear. We are trying to shorten the healing period in order to avoid any possible complications that may arise (like impairing motion if it gets too big or infection if it gets damaged etc)...

Other than that, he is as healthy as a horse

Just to add something else rather than BTT, Mehmet who feeds Ozzie and Gulu for me, does actually work at Lamboussa, I put GAU as they are currently running Lamboussa. He doesn't go their every day just to feed the animals, he goes their every day as he works their. He is in Lamboussa part and Ian is in the market part at the back. Poor Henry doesn't get on with Ozzie and Gulu as they think he's invading their territory and are always having a go at him. The fact he is twice their size doesn't really matter. He just wants to be friends with everyone.
