I am sure that Many of you who live in the Catalkoy area have noticed this dog who has been living on the roadside and the carpark for over a month,she has obviously been someones pet at sometime in her life as she is very friendly but she may have been used in a puppy farm but either way she does need a home and will make a good pet for somebody.We have 4 dogs and a cat of our own so we are unable to take on any more.

Please give this gentle girl a home.BBB

Further to my last post we are able to make a contrıbutıon towards the ınitıal veterinary costs in the hope that will help somebody to give this girl a home she deserves better than living on the roadside outside Tempo!!!BBB.

I went to see her today, and she is lovely, but I cant take her home. However, I will go and see and feed and water her every day.

I did likewise but already have two dogs.

Such a great pity -she seems a lovely dog who is desperate for a loving home.

She is still there,. bless her.
Someone has kindly put a picture of her on the facebook page of Hope 4 Dogs Cyprus as unfortunately neither I or the other half know how to do this. {Think its an age thing}
Is there a special person reading this that can give this gentle soul the TLC and loving home she so deserves.
No one knows what life she has had but between us we can make sure her life from now on will be a safe and happy one.

KAR are trying to catch her to have her spayed and have explained on another message that they are unable to come at the drop of a hat so to speak due to the vehicles being already commissioned for other activities. They have asked is it possible for anyone who sees her to take her up to the Centre so she can be dealt with before more puppies arrive on the scene.

Is there anyone who can do this for her?

I gave her food and water this morning, I was surprised that the bowl I put down was still there. She has been laid in pink bubble gum, it is stuck to her leg. I got most of it off but there is still a chunk left. So if anyone else goes to see her today perhaps you can take a damp cloth or something to try and get the rest off.

Rowan, I tried to coax her, just to see if she would get in the car herself but she wouldn't.

Just to let everyone know who has taken this gentle ''Lady'' into their hearts, we have just come back from the KAR centre after delivering her up there.
We did not plan to do it but after reading about the bubble gum being stuck on her, the other half took her grooming scissors with her when we went shopping.
''Lady'' came straight to us and stood as good as gold while the gum was clipped away. We always have a slip lead in the car and she just let us put it over her head and gently walked to the car and jumped in the footwell.
We are both upset after leaving her and will do our best to find her a home, someone reading this post could be that special person who could put the sparkle back into 'Lady's'' sad and soulful eyes!

Hi BBB and W if anyone can find her a home, you two can. Thanks for taking her to KAR, so no pups to swell the doggy population If W is going to the NCCCT coffee morning on Tuesday, tell her to come and see me.

Glad to read that she is with Kar to have the op. I hope that when they release her, they will drop her back at Tempo, unless of course she has a better home to go to, fingers crossed.

Lady Tempo is under the care of KAR at the moment so for this week, at least she is safe and off the streets.
After that she is back to square one, fending for herself and just surviving day to day.
If there is anyone who has taken to her but has previous commitments i.e. holidays booked, health visits etc, we would willingly look after her for this period just for her to be able to have a home of her own.
We are going to be looking after ''Bambi-Look-a-like who is now Rosy'' in July as the lovely people who are now her family had already made arrangements before they gave Rosy her new home and we are quite happy to do this, the only condition being that our four ''hooligans'' get on with their guest!!!
Cannot stress what a special, gentle lady she is.

BBB, Is there any news regarding Lady.

We have no news as yet on ''Lady Tempo''. although we are expecting her to be returned to the streets any time now, poor thing.
Please everyone, keep a look out for her as being in KAR and having the procedure's done could easily have fazed and unsettled her.
She probably thought that the shelter was going to be her home, being with kind people, having a safe place to sleep and regular food etc: and then this all taken away from her and back on the streets.
Can we all work together and somehow turn things around for her and find a permanent, safe loving home, she soooooo deserves one!!!

As you know we are unable to offer this poor dog the home she so richly deserves but will do our best to help in any way we can.

Will make a point of looking out for her on our shopping trips.

I see Lady Tempo is back at Tempo. She looks lovely, Kar have given her a bath and she is wearing a pretty pink collar with bones on it. I wish I could take her, but its impossible, I will go and see her every day with food and water and spend some time with her, but that is the best I can offer. She has to be one of the nicest natured dogs that I have come across in a long while.
I will see if I can get a picture of her tomorrow and get it uploaded on homes 4 Cyprus pets (I think that's what its called)

Absolutely gutted to read that 'Lady Tempo' has been brought back. We were so hopeful that Julie and Kar would be able to find her a home. Back to square one for this gentle, trusting and loving dog. Could someone put a photo of her on the forum, as this may help her?

I'll try tomorrow BBB. I went again this afternoon to try, but she wasn't around. Any idea where she goes when not at Tempo?

Brilliant! Just wish that special person would come along soon for her, to put a sparkle back in those sad eyes.
We would be happy to look after her for short periods, i.e. holidays, hospital or family visits but with four already just cannot care for her 24/7.
There have been offers of help towards vets bills etc. for her from people in the same position as us, already having their own dogs and these are genuine people and are not just saying it!
Please everyone, lets not give up on her, let's try our very best to find her a home of her own.

We take great pleasure in announcing that the honourable 'Lady Tempo' has tonight been escorted to a home of her own.
She will be joining two friends, one a golden retriever/Labrador and a full pedigree Cyprus Poodle !!!
We are obviously going to keep in touch with her new family and they will be in touch with KAR.
Once we know anymore, will let you know - Cheers everyone - Big Drink is called for !!!

Just a quick post to let everyone know that our new family member seems to be settling in well, in her new home in Zeytinlik.

It is heart warming to read the depth of humanity you lovely people over there have, every time I read a post like this (I know there are not a lot but everyone means something to one very lucky dog) it brings tears to my eyes.

She is settling in very well, but is still a little unsure of her surroundings. We've had workers in every day for the last two weeks, so the dogs have been stuck in their compound more than usual, and that is probably not helping Maddy (her name came about as a result of a minor incident at Petcross) to settle.

We'll be at the Lapta Dog Show on Sunday, so her public will have a chance to view her then.

Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou for taking this beautiful animal to your house and giving her a forever home. I have had labs all my life and understand that they need and give so much affection to their owners.

If we had not left the island every summer for 3 months we would have gladly had her.

Heartbreaking when you realise that you cannot help them. All I ever seem to be able to do to help is foster tiny kittens who would otherwise die, but I do it because every little thing helps in the end.

We have some lovely people here in Cyprus who really care about the animals in distress.

Speaking of cats, a pregnant feral female gave birth last night under our lavender hedge I went to Hur Deniz and got 2 polystyrene fish boxes, strung them together and cut a hole in each end. Not much persuasion to move the kittens into it and they are now sheltered from rain and the hot sunshine. Worth thinking about if you are in the same situation.
