Has anyone lost a Cockatiel bird. There is one not far from the school in Karsiyaka. Its been near my house for the last 3-4 days. It seems very tame. 0533 8518607

I would say definitely! I hope someone comes forward but recapturing it will be difficult. This bird may, or may not, be better off free, as it may find enough natural food and shelter to survive, however, as it is not native it will be preyed upon by crows and raptors. Its chances of survival are reduced by being domesticated, but look at how parakeets have established themselves in the UK.

It may also be in danger not only from natural predators but also from the two legged 'Rambo' variety that are out and about again!
For it's own safety I think it would be better to try and catch it! - Wendy. BBB's other half!

Sorry but the bird vanished yesterday. It used to chat away all day on the electric wires near my home. I put food out and water. I have tall trees around me and too many Crows which would not leave this little bird alone.
