Hi big ginger and white tom cat missing from Ozankoy area last seen near Bellapais Park Apartments on Tuesday. He is tame so can be handled. His name is Bruce and we are missing him. If any sightings please contact 0533 866 1360. I have been unable to upload a photo as file is too big but for those on FB I have posted on Helping Animals North Cyprus. Thanks

Hi. I may be mistaken so don't want to build up your hopes but I am fairly certain I saw Bruce on Wednesday night.
I had not seen this cat around before and to be honest I thought it was a female as it seemed to be calling and befriended my neutered male cat.
They were later sitting together on my window sill and it was very friendly. I noticed a mark, is it a scar? on the top of it's nose.
I haven't seen it around since, I live next to Erol's restaurant, maybe Bruce is making his way back to Catalkoy?
I hope you find him soon.

The picture is Bruce, the big ginger and white tom cat missing from Ozankoy area, mentioned in the first post.
I took the photo from the FB page for 'Helping Animals North Cyprus' and re-sized it, as the O.P. mentioned that the picture was too big to post on this Forum...
- And now I've added a close-up of the scar!

Thank you for looking out for him. He is very friendly and not aggressive with other males and yes he has an old scar across his nose as he was badly bullied at one time! We moved to Ozankoy from Catalkoy a couple of weeks ago.

Just spent the last couple of hours touring around the area near Erols and no joy. I didn't know there were so many ginger cats in the area until today! W will keep on looking. Thanks BlueButterfly for info - it was definitely him and Keithcaley for posting the photos of him.

My experience is that they usually head for 'Home' - i.e. their previous home...
Poor Roma over our way has been backwards and forwards after hers, ever since she moved, her cat's like a YoYo on a piece of elastic

Thank you for the close up Keith.
Yes it was definately Bruce.
I am so sad that I hadn't seen your post before he came as I would have kept him here for you.
I will if he visits again but I think he just stopped off on the way to his old home, fortified with a few biscuits.
Fingers tightly crossed that you find him soon, he is a love.

Thank you Blue Butterfly. I have put posters around the area and we have been out again calling and searching for him. I only wish I had posted sooner and we would have him back now but we are still positive that he is alive and wandering somewhere!!

No more sightings Blue Butterfly. We search round the area every day and we went to our old house yesterday but no sign. Plenty of false alarms when we thought we have seen him. There is a cat very much like him roaming around Erol's Restaurant area in Ozankoy. He also has a scar across his nose but his ear isn't clipped and he doesn't seem very friendly. We hope that some kind people are giving Bruce an odd meal when he calls by and we will go on searching in the meantime. Thanks for your concern. x

I saw a cat very much like this by the airfield in catalkoy today. One of its back legs was white almost up to its thigh. I can't remember which leg it was and I can only see one on your photo. Could this be Bruce? I wasn't close enough to see its face

Thanks Eleanor I will certainly take a look down that area - who knows he may be heading back to the old house in which case he is down in the right area. If you see him again, and are close enough, he has his left ear snipped and he has a scar across his nose! Thanks for message alerts Owl Lady.
