Injured stray dog needs home

The vet who is looking after this dog will pay for all the necessary treatment, even if it means amputation. However, with 3 legs it can't be released back into the streets, therefore, if no home can be found the vet will have no choice but to euthanise the dog. So please, please can somebody offer this boy of only 6-7 months a loving home
URGENT: Home needed for this poor boy. He was found on the new Kyrenia bypass road near Alsancak. He had been hit by a car and needed emergency treatment. His right leg is injured and we have to wait and see if he will be able to use it again. He is approx 7 months old and he has no microchip. He is recovering at the vets clinic at the moment but he is in desperate need of a home. He is a friendly lovely boy. Please can anyone help him?

Oh! he looks so sad poor little thing. I do hope the vet is able to save his leg and give him a better quality of life.

Update: someone let the dog out of the vet's compound so now he is somewhere in the central Girne area. He is still on medication and of course he is walking on 3 legs. Please keep an eye out for him. Thank you. Tel 0533 866 1360.

Please everyone who is at or is going to the market would you look out for this poor dog. He must be in a very weak and vulnerable condition now . We are going to look for him this afternoon and if anyone could help - we would be more than grateful.
Thank you. - BBB's other half.

Evening everyone A Good and Bad Update.

The good news is the poor dog has been found. The bad news is he will have to have his leg amputated due to the initial injury of being hit by a car. How he has survived again out on the streets for over a week with this injury I just cannot imagine! If he pulls through the surgery, someone has kindly offered a foster home, where he will be nursed, loved and cared for.
Thank you to anyone who has thought of him and looked out for him - Unfortunately not a Fairy Tale ending but at least he is safe and stands a chance of life.

Dogs and cats alike adapt extremely well to having only three legs and in my experience attract the sympathy vote on occasions. Will the vet neuter him as well, which will go a long way to stop him getting into fights with other males.

Good news indeed and thanks for sharing Bob.

As to animals adapting, they do indeed, and do get a sympathy vote. My cat which adopted me some 8 years ago, suddenly had a growth on her fornt paw. Investigation meant it was a tumor and was removed alogn with half her paw. She still some 6 weeks later is not happy to put the paw on the gorund and use it, but she goes where she wants, and jumkps wlel o nto my lap, which she has decided she like.s She got allthe cuddles when recovering and has decided she likes them! Come to that, so do I. In fact I love my poor ltitle crippled cat even more now. So yes, sympathy vote does a lot.
