Seeking Regular Midday Dog Walker M-F (1 Time Daily)
I am looking for a regular dog-walker for once-daily midday walkings (about 15-20 minutes), Mondays through Fridays, for my small/medium-size dog, near 20 Temmuz Stadium in Central Kyrenia. Any available references would be greatly appreciated. Please email me directly at petdaddy123@gmail.com. Thank you.

Anybody considering daily dog walking at mid-day in July/August in the TRNC is more barking than their dog. Have you felt the asphalt surface the dog's pads will be exposed to at mid-day?

was thinking the same.......walks should be early morning and after the sun has gone down. Too hot the rest of the time.

Your sarcastic remarks are unnecessary and unwanted, but thank you for your kind reply, gentlemen! My dog is still a puppy and needs at least 10 minutes outside for his toilet in the late afternoon, or shall I invite you both to come to my place and clean up the mess in the house, instead?? I walk my dog in an empty lot (no asphalt) very near to where I live.
Serious replies only, please!

You, as a responsible owner, should be prepared to clean up a puppy's mess as you should do so for a baby! To ask a dog, let alone a puppy, to be walked for 15-20 minutes one-day in the TRNC in Jul/Aug (your original post) is tantamount to cruelty or negligence and you want somebody else to compound that fact. Get real or get rid of the puppy because you have no IDEA how to bring up young animals. No sarcasm intended!

Appreciate the concerns about the weather etc, all very valid but the original posting requested if anyone was able to walk a young dog.
Can we leave it at that and if someone does decide to make contact with the poster they can either agree or not to take the dog out for a walk. Anyone interested can ask all the relevant questions to the owner and they can then decide if it is for them or not.
Thanks

Re: Seeking Regular Midday Dog Walker M-F (1 Time Daily)
Tomsteel, FYI, I DO pick up after my dog after he poops, EVERY SINGLE TIME! In fact, I am one of the few on this island who do so! I also keep him on a leash, unlike most people, for his safety - so that he doesn't get run over by a speeding maniac in a car!
Please do not lecture me about how to take care of my dog! I am one of the most responsible dog owners on this island and there is nothing I would not do for my pets! I have seen dogs left out on build rooftops all day long in this hot sun…THAT is animal cruelty! My complaints to the local authorities have done nothing to help them. During these hot days, I take my dog out for 10 minutes…Any other time (other than July/August) is 15-20 minutes or more).
Given that my young dog cannot hold his bladder for 9-10 hours, as you are suggesting he should be doing, and given that he is fully toilet trained, rather than accusing me of animal cruelty for taking him out to pee and poop midday in July/August, perhaps you could offer a much more constructive solution as to how I may remedy my dog's toilet issues, since you seem to possess a wealth of knowledge and opinions to share with this forum!
I agree with PoshinDevon…If you do not have anything pertinent to say in reply to my request, then please do not waste my time nor yours with useless banter. I do not have all sorts of free time to sit in front of the computer all day long reading unnecessary comments that do not answer my original request.
Thank you.

The above post answers the concerns of others. Please if anyone has the time to walk this young dog, make contact with the owner and discuss.

I feel the strong need to support the original poster as I know him personally! He rescued his puppy from a compound where nobody else wanted him, the puppy at that time was on concerete 24/7, at least he has a loving home now!
I think to suggest he is being irresponsible by asking for someone to walk his dog during the day is ludicrous! To go to work and leave a puppy with no means of relieving his bowels or bladder for 9-10 hours IS animal cruelty and all he's doing is looking for someone to take the dog out and let it do it's business!
I despair sometimes at the comments some people feel the need to post here pointing fingers, jumping to conclusions and criticising when they haven't the foggiest of the situation. So I would suggest in future gentlemen, that you ask questions before you pontificate!

You are entitled to your opinion and to express it, as am I. Maybe you should remember that before adding to a debate you are not directly involved in and a Mod has specifically asked for comments be confined to the original question. Why cannot the puppy be looked after elsewhere rather than walking it during the mid-day heat? Has that option been investigated? Who knows? Do you? My concern is for the puppy. Perhaps you could care for it during the day? If I did not live 40 kms east of Girne, the puppy would be welcome here with my two other rescue dogs and be walked before 1030 and after 1630 with a free run of the garden to 'pee' in during that period of 'no exercise'.
