Was she wearing her collar and is there any identification on it?

How is she with other people and small dogs? I ask because she seems to be approaching my area and where I walk my dogs. Is she as gentle and playful as she looks?

Should she be approached, or is she likely to be spooked and run away if someone tries to touch her? How will she respond if other dogs try to play with her (as two of mine will given half a chance)

She is wearing a black collar but with no name tag, she is not aggressive at all such a soft dog and loves other dogs but is spooked by people, esspecially men, so she will probably run off if you try to approach her although please try if anyone does see her. she is great with small dogs as we also have a french bulldog and they are normally inseparable. so our other dog is quite lost since kenzie went missing, we have just had a call to say she was just seen near asil nadirs house my sister is in the area checking now. would like to thank all of you who have contacted us on here and by phone hopefully she will be found soon

Hi, pasha is in KAR so if a husky has recently been seen it won't be him, also pasha doesn't have a mask and has brown eyes, kenzie is still out there somewhere we just hope she comes home safe and soon

Hi, walked my Spaniel (he is a sociable animal and often picks up stray dogs on his walks) towards Catalkoy this morning, but sadly no sign. Doesnt mean she isnt still in the areas, though, as my walking is limited.

Just gave me an idea though - when one of my dogs went walkabout his adopted sister found him, where I hadnt spotted him. Dogs have senses we lack, so it might be worth taking your other dog along when looking for Kenzie. Forgive me if you already thought of that.

I will continue to keep an eye out and hope you find her very soon.

We live in Catalkoy and every time we go out we are looking. Nothing as yet but please do not give up everybody.
Just think if this was your family pet!

I don't know if this will help, but we were driving through dogankoy this afternoon and there was a husky on the side of the road,
also a puppy. It may be worth a drive through the village tomorrow.
We turned left just before the Bellapaise lights, coming from ESK school. Then drove through the lanes heading for Girne.
It could've actually been someone's dog, but strange that it was sitting at the side of the road.

Sorry about your dog, have you thought about the people in Syria who may have lost more than a dog

I'm sorry but I find that comment very offensive from "montet12"
I follow these missing pet threads seriously but being in UK am not in a position to offer much help. I am a pet owner and know how upsetting it is when they go missing.

I would like to add I have made a couple of posts since joining but not seen them yet as they have to be approved.

I totally agree with Cally. Perhaps if Montet12 has nothing constructive to say he/she would be better keeping their comments to themselves.

the only good thing about THAT reply is that it takes this sad tale back to the top, so well done for that!! NOW GO AND DO SOMETHING USEFUL!

To the last 4 messages I totally agree with you, I was going to write a comment last night when I read it, but thought better of it, because I thought that I would be the only one to say something and then get a load of back lash back, and as Rowan said, any reply keeps it at the top.

"The quality of mercy is not strained".

And compassion knows no boundaries - nor is it not rationed - human misery anywhere in the World is not increased and the plight of those in Syria not worsened because people also care about someone grieving for a lost dog: indeed every little drop may relieve the total burden of sorrow. I suggest you practice compassion Montet and you will find genuine feeling is actually increased with use.

Meanwhile btt and I hope Kenzie is somewhere where she is at least physically cared for, and will be reuinited soon.

I do hope you find Kenzie. We found Sophie pretty quickly but did an all out blitz. Plastered the place with the latest photo (A4 size and fitted into plastic folders) Stuck them on electric poles, inside bars, outside shops, but MORE IMPORTANTLY offered a reward. Don't mention how much on the poster, because to anyone who might have stolen or found the dog, it won't be enough!! When you get a phone call, arrange to meet on neutral territory, if the dog is yours, immediately put it in your vehicle and only then state how much you are prepared to give. Don't negotiate because the dog will be in your vehicle. One other thing, please, please, please MAKE SURE YOUR DOG HAS A TAG with your contact number on. Having a collar just isn't enough. Best of luck.

Hi thanks sophie i never thought of doing that i did hear that if i pu a reward for it and didnt pay it wud be allegal and i deffontly think she has been stolen i hope some one does see her or something

As I said, don't mention the amount of reward on the poster and don't discuss it on the phone. Insist on seeing the dog first, put her in your own vehicle lock the doors and then hand over whatever you feel suitable. You will have to hand over some money otherwise the person or person concerned could turn nasty. How can it be illegal, when you are handing over money to someone who is a thief (or acting for a thief) It's blackmail on their part, and I hated doing it, but we were desperate to get Sophie back. Kenzie has very distinctive markings and if she is roaming the area someone will definitely recognise her. If not I suspect she has been taken. It's becoming more and more common here I'm afraid.
