Found a stray puppy ( hunting dog ) is about 10 weeks old have looked after him very well. He has 3 meals a day being dry biscuits, he has also had a worming tablet & all his injections. But over the last week his rib cage visability seems to be getting worse. Does anyone have any advice on what it could be or a good vets details who does not charge crazy prices. Thank you

I wouldn't of thought with 3 meals a day she should be losing weight. There is a good vet on the left hand side in karakum going as if your driving away from the center. I don't remember the name but I think its the only one on that side so you cant miss it. He is really nice cheap honest and speaks English
Good luck hope puppies ok

I think the Vet Linda means is Petline (0533 8700222 or 8245221), I have only used him for routine injections etc. but found him helpful and knowledgeable. I can also recommend Pertev 815 3430 who did the neatest operation (neuter) I have ever seen on one of my dogs.
It is wise to have a Vet check, but dont panic - some breeds are naturally "streamlined" and I think that includees hunting dogs. Is he in good health oherwise , wet nose, shiny coat , bright eyes and waggy tail with plenty of energy?
Personally I am not keen on dried food alone as a diet for dogs.

No it is definitely PetCross as per offshoredi's post. I would definitely recommend them as they take very good care of my hunting dog.
Are you feeding him puppy food which has a higher fat content than adult food? It may just be that he needs a bit extra whilst he is growing. My dog only ever has dried food and he is absolutely thriving on 2 meals a day and lots of exercise.

Thank you for all your help and advice he is booked in for an appointment tomorrow at the vets, with a new clinic on the catalkoy road petline. At the moment he is still on puppy biscuits. A good check over seems to be what he needs.
