Hi

Does anyone know of anyone who may be bringing over a container with some spare room on it? Looking to ship over a 2 cubic meter box containing stuff for our new villa.

Thanks

Andy

Hi Andy

We're moving over in October on 31 st and stuff is being shipped late Sept. We're not using a full container so might be able to help? Don't know how that would work with the shipping company tho?

Hi Moyra

Thanks for replying. I'm not sure how it would work either. I guess in essence it would appear to be your goods? As long as everything was itemised then any charges against my goods could be charged to me? I have a friend in the TRNC who could collect from where ever the container ends up.

Be great if you could do it, let me know.

Thanks

Andy

We used Jo Valentine and we had 2 cu meters. They picked up our stuff from near Salisbury, Wiltshire and then organised the filling of the container. In the end there were 4 of us for one container. We all met at the customs in Famagusta with the shipping representative, all was sorted within an hour and the next day everything was delivered to Dipkarpaz. Really easy!! You don't have to find anybody, they do it. The only problem you may have, if you want things to arrive at a particular time. We weren't worried, it took about 6 weeks or so but we were not bothered about time. Cost was just under £600 in 2010. If you need her number let me know, but C44 will have it

Hi
We are loading a container to sail Saturday 15 September from Liverpool, ETA Famagusta 3rd October. Another the last week in September from Glasgow.
Still space available for household goods or a small car, collection from all over the UK at very reasonable rates, packing and export wrapping available. Full door to door service, customs cleared, advice on importing and services of an Island based representative - but please, nothing less than 1 cbm. Full containers all the time, as usual.
Please email, as our info@ etc. link from the website is worse than useless! So my apologies to anyone that is waiting for a reply from that email address - please re-send to hotmail!

how does this work then? I want to ship a trendy log burner over, does it get delivered to my door in a shared container?? (i've shipped a container before with joe) I had to get a mukta's letter(which was a nightmare) and my in's and out's,then customs office, then custom's guys at the house, would all that apply again??

You will not need a mukta's letter this time or your ins & outs from the police as that is for customs exemption. TRNC customs allows you customs exemption once. Seeing as you have already used your right of exemption, you will have to pay customs on your shipment.

We have a part container loading every week. Can offer you a door to door service for this (picked up from your door in UK & delivered to your door in Cyprus). You can contact us on any of the bellow emails or telephone numbers.

Andy, if you are in or reasonably close to London you might want to try Kelebek Transport who transport goods using multiple large-ish vans and refrigerated trailers to/fro Peckham SE London and Lapta. See this thread for details...
http://www.kibkom.com/forum/en/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=469

Arif Kelebek is due back in London any day now - he is bringing back a box for me.

Using Kelebek transport you may be able to have door-to-door collection AND delivery, depending upon your locations at either end.

From personal experience I can recommend Kelebek transport as being a very cost effective transportation solution to North Cyprus.
