Just a small point with BlueStacks - I (and apparently many others) have had a problem after installation and whenever trying to start BlueStacks with a message appearing ("Some error has occurred") and then freezing.
This can be cured by starting two services via control panel/administrative tools/services each time before starting BlueStacks.
A simpler method is to create a bat file - in notepad, type:

net start BstHdLogRotatorSvc
net start BstHdAndroidSvc

- and 'save as' to your desktop <name>.txt (choose your own file name)
- then change the file extention from .txt to .bat

Thereafter, double-click on the <name>.bat file to start the services; as soon as the pop-up screen closes, start BlueStacks.

Problem solved!
