Buying Kindle books from Amazon
Can I buy Kindle books from Amazon? When I log in and search, it just says This Title Available for UK Only, but I am permanently in TRNC.
Is there a way around this at all?

Use the address of a friend in the UK, that solves the problem. It doesn't matter where you live then, as you get the e-book delivered electronically. Don't say I said this, but you don't have to be totally honest with Amazon
Do your best to grow old disgracefully.

Re: Buying Kindle books from Amazon
Personally I get nearly all my books free from the internet. Sure, I may have to wait some months before a newly released book appears but alternatively I can find many old books (that are out of print) by authors I have newly discovered.
A free software package called Utorrent downloads the books onto my computer and a free (and very good) piece of software called Calibre E-Book Manager converts any format to MOBI and manages the interface between my computer and my Kindle. Calibre also works with many other devices and data formats - it's not just for Kindle.
I particularly like that I can try lots of new authors without cost. I'm quite choosy and many authors do nothing for me and I abandon books after only the first chapter. That can get quite expensive after a time if I'm paying for them.

Try registering with amazon.co.uk. This fools the system into thinking you are in the uk. I use this method with no problem.

I have been here for 3 yrs and bought, with no problem, many Kindle books through Amazon. I have never changed my address with them, so this is still UK address, and yes, Amazon.co.uk is the address to use.

Don't forget to search Amazon for free books in the kindle store.
Or subscribe to daily free books.com (no spaces)
If you have a friend and you want to swap books just log in your kindle as friend and download their library to your machine and then log back in as yourself.
