Multimax message
In a very short space of time we received an SMS message from Multimax our ISP, telling us and no doubt, many other customers, the following:
“We are currently experiencing a problems due to a lightning strike at the Girne Telecommunications office.
We have been informed that engineers are currently working to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience.”

I understand that land line telephones were also affected and mine is still not working.

To be fair, they did get it back up and running very quickly. Pity about the local power cuts that followed it, screwed up the night good and proper.

We recently moved here and after talking to a lot of people and reading forums decided to go to Nethouse.
We live half way up the mountain and yesterday afternoon the lightening and thunder was all around us.
The Internet work all the way through it, brilliant.
