Question for all you alleged internet experts. We are with Multimaxcyprus as our internet supplier. Currently, after calling into their helpline, them saying there is a problem with the line from Turkey to TRNC, assuming that other suppliers of internet to consumers from same source. How come Extend have 20+ Gpms & Mm have only .285 Gpms. Answers I am sure from absolute Internet whizzkids.

I feel sure you will get loads of help from your choice of "alleged" Internet experts but as you have already told everyone, on another thread, that the problem with NTV is down to their Internet supplier, then perhaps as an "alleged" internet expert yourself you should be able to answer your own question.
Or have you not asked Multimax and Extend or any other supplier why there is a difference in their respective download speeds and do they both face the same problem with lines between Turkey and the TRNC, would that not have been your first step?
No ISP in the TRNC is perfect 24/7, do some research amongst them all and make your choice of supplier - it's as simple as that! Remember that the TRNC only deals with Turkey because that is the only country that is allowed to deal with it.
For more choice you could always move South - this website provides an interesting comparison for what you can have if you are in the RoC but take a good note of the costs/speeds. Perhaps your ISP is providing a good service after all but then the grass is always greener elsewhere isn't it?

Becker.
This seems a fair enough question to ask.
Why is it only MM that experiences problems with the Turkish connection.
Do Extend customers get the same problems ?

Not true.
http://bgpview.io/asn/44558#graph
The above link shows how nethouse's network (AS44558) connects to the rest of the world and it is through TTnet (AS9121)
http://bgpview.io/asn/44558#upstreams-v4
This shows the same thing - the number of uplinks from Nethouse's network (AS44558) and they have one single uplink and that is to TTnet in Turkey.
Compare that with say TTnet's own uplinks

Sorry Erol, perhaps I've been misled I'm no expert all I know...
It' s a hell of a lot better than the service you pump out.
There must be more complaints about your 'Service' on this forum than any other!

You have indeed been misled and I am trying to stop you in turn misleading others. You can not hide what the routes into an ISPs network are, for if they were hidden then no one on the internet would be able to find and reach machines on that network, they are public by definition of what the internet is and how it works. As to who misled you and why they have misled you, I can only speculate.

Have you used our service ? Or is this blank assertion based purely on

I think you will find there are more comments about Multimax on here than other ISPs, both good comments and bad. At the end of the day Multimax is the 'newest' entrant into the ISP market place here of the larger ISPs and we have managed to carve out a position within that market. I suspect that if we really were generically worse than the other, longer established ISPs, as you so blandly assert, we would not have been able to do that.
Lodger your pattern of posts here on this forum
http://www.kibkomnorthcyprusforum.com/s ... 1&sr=posts is pretty 'atypical'. Of your 27 posts made on this forum to date, 20 involve ISP's or internet TV services. This may of course be indicative of nothing but then again it may be that you do have some kind of hidden agenda to your posts. I do not know either way but I personally remain cautious with regards to your posts given the pattern and content of these posts to date.

From my experience I found MM were the market leaders ( by far ) a few years ago. This is no longer the case I feel.
I was trying to ascertain whether the other ISP providers blamed TT Turkey for their poor download speeds during the evenings.
This is still not clear but I do know that MM is useless during that time of day. Are they purchasing enough band width I wonder ? Unfortunately we do depend on the internet to watch TV these days.
We will be moving providers when our subscription expires and will most probably try Nethouse again.
Erol is a very helpful guy and a great asset to MM and should not need to be continually coming on forums trying to defend his company.
By the way I have no hidden agenda other than attempting to get what I'm paying for from my ISP provider.
