Multimax sells Netgear routers from their Girne office and will set it up for you so that you just take it home and plug it in. Alternatively having bought a router yourself you can take that in to the Multimax office and they will set that up for you (that's what I did). I wasn't charged.

It will most likely be set up for connection through a phone line, most people dont have adsl connections here, but has said before the provider will usually set it up for you when they install their equipmentwanderer wrote:Wont UK bought routers just plug in and work its a netgear that friends are taking out and I'm trying to minimise the running around

- Yes.... (ish)wanderer wrote:Wont UK bought routers just plug in...
...but it would need to be set up - I brought an old (spare) Belkin router over, and when I signed up to an ISP (in my case, Nethouse), their engineer set it up. Later, I brought a new (netgear) router over, copied the settings from the Belkin to the Netgear, and everything works!...and work......
If you're not keen on DIY, an engineer would do it for you...
