iPad Poorly
Can anyone please help...my iPad won't hold a charge. I've bought a new charger, which worked for a week, then it stopped charging. Laconic don't 'do' iPads, so I'm hoping someone on the forum knows someone who does. Thanks in advance.

This may not help at all, but...
If the battery is completely flat, you may not get any signs of life when you connect a charger - but don't despair!
Leave it plugged in for at least 12 hours and see what happens.
If that doesn't help, then I'm fresh out of ideas!

Apple.com
Support Comunnities - iPad - Using - iPad
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.

Re: iPad Poorly
Apple products sold in one of the shops in the 1001 Airport Mall, but they don't do repairs. They advised me to head south side. As I was returning to the UK anyway, I didn't bother.

Re: iPad Poorly
I wonder how the OP - Bridgett - is getting on!
Her post was a trifle ambiguous, as the first para said "my iPad won't hold a charge." whereas later on ..."It stopped charging"
If the first statement was the entire story, i.e. the pad would appear to accept a charge, but then the power would run out quicker than normal, then a battery replacement might seem to be in order - either a 'third party' solution, or Apples's own offer to (apparently) exchange the item - fine so long as you don't have any valuable data (photo's, etc.) which either haven't been backed up elsewhere, or which you cannot back up...
If the second statement accurately described the current status, then the ipad would not qualify for exchange under this scheme anyway, but she might have managed to get it charged by one means or another.
Bridgett! - could we have a status report please? - it will stop us from endlessly (and uselessly ) speculating!
