Has anyone got any idea why all the IPlayers are not working? Our VPN seems fine, but cannot load BBC or ITV Hub yet usually they are reasonably ok with the VPN.

I use Surfeasy VPN and for a couple of days could not access BBC iPlayer on my tablet but could on my laptop using Multimedia VPN. I messaged Surfeasy who advised me to clear my history, close down and reboot up but it didn't make any difference. Luckily it's now back on track!

My BBC iPlayer has stopped working - just last night and won't come back... live streaming works but downloads don't. Anyone else?

I have just downloaded a programme from last night with no problems at all via my laptop. I am registered at a UK address in the South and not the BBC postcode address but don't know if that makes any difference.

I have not been able to download using the multimax vpn on BBC I player for a few months now. We are registered on the website and when pressing download it says preparing and sends it to the download queue but nothing ever downloads. Any help would be appreciated otherwise it's back to BBC entertainment or DVDs for winter.
We don't want to subscribe to film on as we don't watch enough TV to merit the fee. That's the Scottish father coming out in me!

This is the response...
"We will look into it but it is a free service and we don't guarantee for it to have no problems at any time. You may use chargeable VPN for more secure connection.
Please check your VPN connection after few days again."

Yen said yesterday that BBC are having a purge at the moment, trying to close loop holes.

I could understand that argument if all mm vpn users were affected.... but they are not.

To anyone who is interested. We supply Windows 10 Set Top Boxes on which BBC iPlayer (with a VPN) is working perfectly.
We do models with 2GB/4GB RAM and up to 128 GB of internal storage and versions running Windows 8/Ubuntu/Linux and dual boot systems Windows/Android.
Our customers are using these small footprint systems as PCs (replacing their old dusty desktop computers) and/or as TV Set Top Boxes. Very neat and tidy, no noise, very little heat and very quick to boot up.
Installation, setting up and premium customer service is available but costs extra.
You can get more details here -

I watch listen again TV (I cant understand why people want to watch live) via Multimax VPN. Frequently have to reset at least twice an evening. Then about l0 days ago it seemed to improve and I got whole evenings without problem. Two days again , it started buffering badly and cutting out. Yesterday OK. .............Then I reallised the days it worked OK I had been watching ITV. The day it played up , I was on BBC4. So maybe Sophie's suggestion is right and the Beeb are having a blitz. Trouble with modern technology is there are so many things to go wrong it is like finding ones way through Hampton Court Maze. And everyone can say "Not my resposibility " and the poor customer goes gray while spending time and energy he can ill afford trying to find out what it is this time! All a devilish plot by the techies
